Pool Rules

To maintain a safe, hygienic, and fun environment for all guests, please adhere to all posted rules and lifeguard directives during your visit.

All members and guests must scan in at the front desk upon entry. Non-members must purchase a day pass.

To ensure the safety and comfort of all patrons, the following are prohibited:

Weapons
Smoking
Alcohol
Drugs
Pets

Bare feet are not allowed on tile floors in the lobby or hallways.

Lockers may be utilized to store belongings during your visit. Free locks are available at the Front Desk in exchange for a collateral item. ERBM is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

All patrons are required to take a rinsing shower before entering the pool.
Children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper and swimsuit.
Due to health code regulations, diapers must be changed in locker rooms.
Staff are permitted to stop any activity deemed unsafe.

Pool Rules Prohibit:

Running on pool deck or in zero depth area.
Breath holding contests, roughhousing, horseplay, or use of hard-sided toys.
Food, glass containers, and beverages other than water.
Jeans, cutoffs, streetwear, or underclothes. All patrons must have appropriate swimwear.
Leaving infants and young children unattended at any time.

Age Restrictions & Wristband Policy:

To keep our youngest swimmers safe, Meeker Recreation Center uses a color-coded wristband system. Children under age 8 will receive a wristband at check-in based on their age and swimming ability.

Red Wristband = Arm's Reach

Who: Walking children under age 5.
Rule: Guardian 13+ within arms reach at all times.

Green Wristband = Same Pool

Who: Children ages 6-7.
Rule: Guardian 13+ in the same pool area.

Have an accomplished younger swimmer?

If your younger child is an advanced swimmer, you may request a swim test from the on-duty lifeguard.

Upon passing, the lifeguard will remove the wristband and add your child's name to our permanent approved log.
On future visits, simply notify Guest Services at check-in; they will cross-reference the log so your child can swim wristband-free!

Guardian-to-Child Ratios

For the safety of all patrons, we enforce strict supervision limits. Each guardian (ages 13+) may supervise a maximum of:

3 children wearing wristbands in the zero-depth entry area.
2 children wearing wristbands in the leisure pool and lap pool.
Planning a big group visit or birthday party? Please ensure you bring enough adult guardians to meet these safety ratios!

Water Slide Rules:

Single riders only.
Riders must be at least 48 inches tall.
Riders must be under 300 pounds.
Tubes and flotation devices are prohibited.
Keep arms and hands inside at all times.
Must ride feet first, lying on back or sitting.
Must be able to stand in whitewater and exit without assistance.
Catching riders is not permitted.
For safety reasons, pregnant women and people with heart and back conditions should not ride.
Ride at your own risk.

Diving Board Rules:

Children under 8 years of age must pass the deep water swim test.
Must be under 250 pounds to use the diving board.
Only ONE person at a time is allowed.
Diving area must be clear before diving.
No running on the diving board.
Single bounce only.
Jump straight off the end of the board.
Clear diving area immediately after diving.
Flotation devices are not permitted.
Catching swimmers is not permitted.

Hot Tub Rules:

Children under 13 years of age are not permitted in the hot tub.
Pregnant women and persons with health conditions should consult a physician before use.
Sitting in the hot tub for longer than 10 minutes may cause dizziness, nausea, or fainting.
