Meeker softball takes 1st, 2nd at league tourney

ERBM Recreation & Park District hosted a league softball tournament Saturday, July 20. Seven teams played in the 8-10 year old group at 6th Street Field and three teams competed in the 11-13 age group at Paintbrush Park.

Meeker's 11-13 year old team won the championship trophy with a score of 30-9 versus Craig in the finals, while Meeker's 8-10 year old team battled their way through the brackets to take second overall against the visiting Rifle 2 team.

Thanks to all the participants, volunteer coaches, and staff for a great season!
