ERBM Recreation & Park District's mission is to create year-round recreational, cultural, and outdoor experiences that improve well-being and promote a vibrant community for the residents, visitors, and future generations of Eastern Rio Blanco County.
Looking back at 2025, we are proud to share the progress we’ve made in improving customer service, increasing operational efficiency, and maintaining safety and security. Here's a short recap of the past year's highlights.
District Financial Highlights
Fund Balance: $9.41 million
Total Revenue: $3.53 million
Total Expenses: $3.76 million
Cost Savings: $300,000 was saved through the termination of the Parks Lease Agreement.
Completed Projects
Several projects were completed in 2025 and are significant upgrades from previous work.
Circle Park II & III: This $2.1 million project was made possible by $1.3 million in grant funding and a District match of $311,500.
Meeker Recreation Center (MRC) Locker Rooms: New flooring was installed at a cost of $84,000.
Pool Upgrades & Repairs: $60,000 was dedicated to several vital improvements:
Roof and soffit repairs
PoolPak testing and upgrades
Acid system and surge pit upgrades
Crack repairs and chairlift replacement
Security: $53,000 was invested in cyber and facility security to keep our data and patrons safe.
Community Impact & Participation
Facility Usage
Meeker Recreation Center: 39,896 visits
Corporate & Emergency Services: We hosted 13 corporate entities (1,328 visits) and 83 emergency service personnel (621 visits).
Elk/Lee Fire Personnel visited 435 times at no charge as our way of saying thank you for all the work they did to protect our community.

Giving Back
In 2025, we:
Awarded $13,386 in financial aid to 62 residents.
Donated $13,000 to four community nonprofits.
Benefited from 64 volunteers who donated 676 hours of service.
Recognized Hailey Cox as Volunteer of the Year for her 40 hours of service.
Programs & Events
With 1,820 program participants, our calendar was packed! Based on feedback from our Community Survey, we added several new offerings including after-school activities, indoor pickleball, Tiny Open Gym, and new fitness classes.

Employee Highlights
This year, we updated the Employee Handbook for the first time since 2017. We also awarded $3,000 in Employee Scholarships to Brook Arnold, Eduardo Cordova, Allison Kobald, and Oliver Holmes.
