2026 Cardboard Derby rescheduled to February 14

Despite low snowpack, last year's Derby participants enjoyed a foot race version of the event at the Paintbrush Park Ballfields. So far this year, there is no snow on the ground.

This year's Cardboard Derby has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 14.

Cardboard Derby Event Details:

• Saturday, February 14 (new date)

• 9:30am-12:30pm

• Paintbrush Park

Construct the fastest and coolest cardboard sled to race down the famous sled hill at Paintbrush Park at the annual Cardboard Derby! Sleds can be constructed using only cardboard, tape, and glue and may be decorated with paint, markers, or tape.

Registration begins at 9:30am. Come enjoy a coffee or cocoa prior to the race start. Races begin at 10:00am.

Race Divisions:

• Ages 4 and under

• Ages 5-7

• Ages 8-11

• Ages 12+

• Family/Group (up to 4 participants)

A trophy will be awarded to the Fastest Overall. Awards will also be given for Fastest in Age Divisions, Most Creative, and Biggest Wipeout.
