Phase III of Circle Park will complete almost a decade of work on riverfront improvements.

The Town of Meeker and ERBM Recreation & Park District are moving forward with the final phase of long-term improvements to Circle Park. Construction has been extended through late August/early September to accommodate Phase III upgrades, which include automated irrigation, a new vault toilet with ADA access, fencing, updated signage, improved park amenities, and renovated camping sites.

This project is the culmination of nearly a decade of steady enhancements along the White River corridor, including recent work at Town Park and earlier phases at Circle Park. When complete, these efforts will result in a more accessible, functional, and attractive riverfront space for residents and visitors alike.

Currently, Bolton Construction has mobilized onsite to begin demolition of outdated campsites and begin construction activities for this final phase. X Field Services will follow with installation of the vault toilet and ADA path. The ERBM Parks & Facilities Maintenance team will contribute by upgrading key park amenities.

Circle Park closure extended through late summer/early fall

In the meantime, Circle Park will remain closed to the public throughout the summer, including during the Fourth of July holiday. The park is traditionally a popular location for river access and fireworks viewing, and while we recognize this is disappointing news for many, the closure is necessary to maintain safety and support long-term progress.

As a positive alternative, newly improved river access points at both 3rd Street and 10th Street are now open and available for public use. All river users must refrain from exiting the river at Circle Park during construction.

This project is a joint effort between the Town of Meeker and ERBM Recreation & Park District. The Town owns Circle Park and ERBM manages it under a lease agreement. We appreciate the community’s patience and support as we complete the final stretch of this multi-year riverfront investment.
