First Aid/CPR/AED

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED class teaches participants to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.  This class teaches participants the skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  A First Aid/CPR/AED certification card (valid for two years) is included for those who successfully complete the course.

Meeker Running Club Series

Join fellow runners in this fun, slightly competitive running series.  All running abilities are welcome.  Each week runners will meet up for a variety of pre-determined, 2 to 6 mile courses.  The top five finishers of each week will earn points according to the point scale and one point will be awarded to all finishers who do not place in the top five.  Double points will be awarded for participation in any other ERBM Recreation and Park District run races (registration fees for these races are NOT included in the Meeker Running Club fees).  At the end of the series, the male and female runners with the most points will each receive a special prize.  All participants that participate in at least six of the weekly runs will receive at T-shirt.  Runs cancelled due to weather will not be rescheduled.

Hiking Club

Get out and explore the beauty of Northwest Colorado.  Each week, hikers will explore a different trail.  Participants will earn one ticket per hike to be entered into an end-of-season drawing for a special prize.  Transportation will be provided by ERBM for those who would like a ride to and from the trailhead.  Participants must provide their own equipment, water, and snacks.  Participants must be in good health and capable of moderate physical activity.  For distance, difficulty level, and transportation departure times for each hike, contact Guest Services.

Day Trip - Fruita Aqua Park

The Aqua Park consists of inflatable runways, jumping pillows, and bouncers all connected together and floating in a large, clean, and refreshing lake.  It features ramps, jumps, ladders, a trampoline, two slides, and so much more.  Bring a swimsuit, board shorts, towels, sunscreen, etc.  Everyone must wear a life jacket, provided on-site.  Bring dry clothes to change into for the ride home.  Pack a lunch or bring money for lunch and snacks.

Day Trip - Glenwood Springs Rafting Trip

This three-hour rafting trip through class III-IV rapids starts near the Shoshone Rapids in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River.  Proper attire includes shorts, T-shirt, bathing suit, and sports sandals or shoes you don't mind getting wet.  Bring dry clothes for the ride home.  Pack a lunch or bring money for lunch and snacks.  All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability waiver with Guest Services.
